    My reading of back billing rules does not really clarify which way this should fall.
    Yes, it does include account credits and the Ombudsman has previously supported the view that money paid into the account is a bill payment, and subject to reversal in the case of errors being discovered even over 12 months prior, and even if the result might be considered 'bill-shock' by any reasonable person.
    Occasionally you see one slip through where a particular Ombudsman takes a contrary view, but they seem rarer than the ones that follow the original principle.
