Hi everyone! I've been around again for a while but haven't spotted the thread - but I have been putting mini lists in my diary with this thread in mind! Good to recognise some names, but I must catch up with how everyone is doing.
Today's little list...- Work on crochet project before work so that I can progress properly at lunch - materials from stash
- Take leftover pasta to work for lunch
- Didn't have time to finish my cuppa before leaving the house, so transferred into my travel cup and enjoyed on my drive!
- Update spreadsheet
- Pick an area to sort out later (slowly going through the process of sorting and decluttering)
- Dinner from stores
- Oven/ air fryer off at wall after use
- NSD
Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,935.00
Total paid off - £9,665.89 (61% paid off)6 -

Evening allShopping today, paid the milk bill and ordered some items for my planned garden reorganisation online.Made a chilli with reduced mince and loads of vegMade a fish pie using stuff from the freezer and larderWe now have dinners for the rest of the week, as I will be working. OH can do veg / accompanimentsDid a bit in the garden; with OH's help, I moved the mini greenhouse thingy along to get rid of an annoying corner. My garden is small, so all space is important. Also moved a bird bath by myself. Luckily it comes apart into 3 pieces so fairly manageable. Moved a sorrel plant and harvested a single spring onionMy chilli seedlings are up, so I got the growlight thing out of the loft and popped them under, so they don't get too leggy. This old house is dark, and windowsill space limited, and this helps a lot. Aubergines next, but as we are going away next week, they can wait till we get back.@allydowd I hope your DW feels better soon.@carrielovesfanta your OH is very courageous.5

Morning all!
I had a good sort out of the cleaning products cupboard last night - meaning I can now see the abundance of products and 10,000 sponges we already have!!!
Today's little list of bits and bobs...- Make lunch to take to work
- Update spreadsheet
- Turn off appliances at the wall
- Sort out another small area of the house
- Pay lowest amount for acro
- Small dinner from stores
Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,935.00

Morning
It is looking like another grey day here, the type that seems to suck the light from everything. I hope it is better where you are.
@determined_new_ms I'm sorry to hear about the problems with dd 🤗
@allydowd sorry to hear your DW is unwell, I hope she makes a full and speedy recovery 🤗
🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗 plenty of hugs for anybody that needs or wants one 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗
Today's plans:NSD ✖️ No decided to pick up some toiletries while I was nearby, instead of doing it later in the week when dd would be with me pestering, saving both sanity and pennies.
If we light the stove later, we will have the kettles on top for free hot water - stove hasn't been lit, no free hot water but no fuel used either.
Washable sanitary protection - both myself and dd ✔️
Breakfast, lunch and dinner from stores ✔️
Stick to the meal plan for tonight’s dinner, tonight is using up bits and pieces leftover from over meals, each person gets to choose their own concoction, which can be supplemented with items from stores not already assigned to other meals, usually eggs and potatoes ✔️
Open curtains fully ✔️
Close curtains before it gets dark ✔️
Renew library books ✔️
Turn off lights and appliances, not in use ✔️
Try to solve the problem in my new budget spreadsheet. I’m still trying to sort this out, it is likely to be something very simple and glaringly obvious if only I could see it - I've not had chance to look, I might run an eye over it later
Update regular saver spreadsheet with details of new accounts taken out, remove matured accounts, adjust any interest rate changes due to the reduction in base rate ✔️
Update “free money” spreadsheet with interest received, vouchers from cashback & surveys ✔️
Home educate dd ✔️
@allydowd we do most of our spending on credit cards, they are always paid off in full each month but give us rewards - vouchers for shops we already use. Also, I keep the money to pay the credit cards in an account on which we earn interest, not much a month but it adds up over time.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Morning everyone,
Yeah, I agree DNMS - nice, supportive part of the internet.
Ally - I've gone back to coffee pods recently and also bought a second hand machine after giving my old one away. Life comes in waves - don't be too hard on yourself. There'll be a time when you tackle it or make a bigger difference with something else you're doing. What about all those coffees out you're saving?
I think our first coffee pod machine was the biggest step in our DFW journey - about 12 years ago we got one for Christmas and stopped our lunchtime coffees out. It was a total gamechanger for us.
@ziggy2407 - hope you're reading and doing ok. Big love for starting us off again. 🫂
So...what about me today...
- Clean the kitchen and hall (no cleaner since I left work)
- Dog walk
- Attempt (perhaps!/hopefully!) to tackle the back garden in one way or another. Just need to straighten it up a little.
- Gym class - enjoying the gym. Paid in full for the year so it feels like a free treat to me whenever I use it.
- Chase recruiter about a job
- Submitted application for another job (not SO sure I want it as it's permanent and full time and I'm not sure it's quite my niche either so the interview might be a total bomb (like the previous one I went for at that company) but I may as well submit my info...)
Right - best get off and get the school run sorted.
Big love everyone!

OH will make some coleslaw and we will have both with a jacket potato.I have washing to peg out on the line before work - Reasonably dry, will finish on the airerI must check the banks after All okHope everyone has a good dayWork wasn't too bad, though the shop was very cold. Fortunately I was wearing two pairs of trousers and 3 jumpers
Good job it isn't a fashion shop
Pity I forgot my scarf!
Had a brainwave this morning and listed a stack of tiles (left by the roofer years ago when we had the roof done) on FB free to collect. They were collected earlier this evening. I have moved them around the garden at least 6 times! The lady wanted them to edge a flower bed, so all good, they will be reused and I won't have to move them any more!3 -
