Morning All
I'm envious of your slow start Gers! Thanks for starting this morning.
It's cold again but not frosty so that's a bonus. I was at the new allotment yesterday to help clear up after the big storm and was absolutely frozen when I got home, had to have a nice warm bath to heat me up.
I tidied up a bit in my own garden which looks a bit better, there are signs of life there - some tulip bulbs are poking their heads up. Spring is definitely on it's way.
Hope everyone is ok and the poorlies recovering. Take care. XX17 -
Morning all - I’m back 😉
Had an amazing week in mid-Wales, the Cambrian Mountains were stunning. Only half a day of rain in 6 days. Loads of walking, food and drink!Hospital visit yesterday as finally got my ENT referral for my loss of smell and taste. In and out so quickly I snuck in the free parking time - have some more nasal spray, info about smell training (!) and an MRI to organise to look at the nerves.Back to work today so will get up shortly and try and catch up with everything,
I have read along but can’t remember everything so will just wish everyone well and a good week

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
Thanks for all the good wishes folks, my eye is doing ok. The procedure went really well, there were no problems. The bubble is still visible but it's getting smaller. I just have a small problem judging distance but that will go eventually.
Great to meet you AntoMac, you'll find that this is a nice friendly group.
It's a miserable day, as was yesterday, not freezing but wet.
No particular plans today, but I can always find little jobs. I'll potter.
Hope everyone has a good day whatever you're doing, take care folks.

The Glasgow trip was fine. I ended up enjoying the Al Murray show. It was obvious that I wasn't part of his usual audience and that everyone else knew what to expect. In the first half I was thinking about not going back after the interval but am glad I stuck with it. He's very clever and didn't do any dodgy material though, on the surface it may appear so. I also thoroughly enjoyed my hotel breakfast and even the bus trip both ways as the weather was glorious- freezing cold with bright blue skies.Nothing as entertaining today. If the weather holds out I may go for a short walk and make some soup from the limp vegetables in the bottom of my fridge.Good to hear that your eye is recovering @Scarlet. I hope that everyone is doing well. Hugs to all.17

Good morning
Another dull start here, same old same old.
After the excitement of the sport weekend (not), today's job is to sort out my car insurance. I've had the renewal through so will check out price comparisons to see if I can better it. Oh, and I must ring my bf in Somerset as it's her birthday.
Dinner tonight will be some of the bargain belly pork cooked with onions, peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes.
Scarlet, good to see you back, hope the eye keeps improving.
Allie, glad you had a good holiday.
Hugs to all who need them, have a good day all.14 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. Welcome back AA, good to hear you had a nice break with kind weather. Sadly it's not kind here this morning. Drab, miserable and drizzly rain and the local weatherman has promised snow flurries over Northern hills. Flurries I can cope with just not the heavy stuff. And just to remind me that winter still has a way to go yet, the memories on my phone brought up a photo from the 2nd April 2018 and it was snowing! Aaargh!
A day of same old same old for me with the usual jobs lined up. Plus I need to do a freezer tidy as the messer upper has been at it again. It really needs defrosting but that job is on hold until it gets a bit warmer out there.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"15 -

Morning all
Cold and damp here heating has gone on for a while, only Rob coming today and we are going to visit a potential place for his respite I think we may be having lunch there but no matter if not I can make us something here I hope the place is nice the ofsted results are ‘needs improvement’ so we shall see.
Roast pork again tonight it’s all cooked it will just need heating through I am working late again this week so an easy dinner is handy, dd is working late today but then has the rest of the week off so I’m sure she will help with dinners etc.
I have a wash on the go mainly T towels and cleaning cloths it can go on the airer. I cleaned out the drinking glass cupboards yesterday and have a load we don’t use anymore I have put them on the fb free page but no one seems to want them, we can’t put them in the recycling bin here so it says to wrap them in paper and put them in normal bin which seems like a shame, the local charity shops won’t take glass anymore so it might have to be the bin.
Have good days all and take care xx13 -
