Expecting food delivery this morning, app hasn't updated a time yet so that means it's going to be late again as it's booked for 9-10am.Hope everyone has a good day and keeps warm12

Good morning, thanks for starting Gets, enjoy your breakfast.
It's raining here, don't think it's as cold as it has been.
I haven't posted for a few days since I had eye surgery - it went well, and I'll go back to see the surgeon at the beginning of next month.
I haven't read back, but I'll do that later.
For now I'll wish everyone a happy Sunday, take care folks.13 -
Morning
Dull and damp start to the day, I heard it raining during the night when I went for a comfort break.
More rugby and football today, DH recorded some yesterday so he will be catching up. The only respite from it was to watch the 1% club. Still, it's Call the Midwife tonight, so something for me.
Izzy I would swap your sausages for some pork, we seem to have a lot in the freezer. Winner winner roast chicken dinner later.
Scarlet, how are you?
Have a good day all, hugs to all who need them, take care.12 -
Not sure if this is open to anyone? I reckon I qualify for old style if the criteria is ‘old’ but maybe less so on the ‘style’ side.
Clear blue sky here.
Amazingly a chance for my mediocre team to hit the top 6 today for the first time in forever, but our visitors from Swansea will have other ideas27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 513 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. Mmmm you can't beat a nice hotel breakfast Safe journey home. A grey and gloomy start for us with evidence of overnight rain, although I didn't hear it amazingly!
A Sunday of same old same old unless a better offer comes along. I've just got some of the sliced gammon out to defrost to fashion into some sort of lunch. Still a few packs left out there and yet another 2 gammon joints to wade through. Although I do enjoy gammon you can sometimes have too much of a good thing!! Note to self, don't be tempted by any more half price joints for a while yet!
I too enjoy Sunday night's viewing with first Call The Midwife, followed by Throw Down which I record so as not to miss the start! It always takes me back to my late teens when a DF and I went to evening pottery classes. I have no idea what happened to my pathetic efforts but my DF, now in Oz, still has one of the little bowls she made! It has been with her since they emigrated to NZ many many years ago, followed by a few moves around Oz before settling near Brisbane. .She was obviously a lot more skilled than I was!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Nice to have you back with us SCARLET, I hope it all went as well as it could do. Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning All
Great to see you back Scarlet, glad everything went well.
Cold this morning but fairly bright. It was cold all day yesterday, the washing I put out was swiftly brought back in and put on the airer as it started to snow! Thankfully that didn't last too long but it was very chilly when I went to Glasgow.
The light show was good, only lasted half an hour and that was long enough. I enjoyed the music far more than the lights, it was lovely and warm in there and I could have fallen asleep! Dinner was lovely, great food and fantastic service. Trains ran on time and I was home for 7.30.
Allotment today for some clearing up with others so that will keep me busy. Have to call at Asda on the way as I forgot my beloved broccoli yesterday.
Hope everyone is well and you all have a peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX10 -

Morning everyone
Grey and dull here this morning, same as yesterday
My Uncle passed away on Friday morning, he had throat cancer and a year ago chose to have no further treatment, the consultant had said he could live for a year and he did, to the exact day. That would have amused him! I have lovely memories of him growing up, as do my girls... he was always such fun. My mam and I took little one to visit him and my auntie last summer, so she was very upset and asked lots of questions yesterday...like 'granny why exactly do people die? - luckily she was quickly distracted by some glitter glue and her craft box!
He was married to my mams sister, but it was my dad he was friends with first, they met when they were boys singing in the church choir and going to scouts together.
Little one managed to play for about an hour yesterday morning and then do some work school sent her, then we had a cuddle on the sofa and watched some TV until DD came home. She'd been shattered and away to bed before 5pm!
Right I'd better get a shift on as mam is going to church this morning so I'll sit with dad.
Hop everyone has a good day x12
