Now that Morrisons petrol stations have been acquired by MFG, you are no longer allowed to pay at the pump. Instead you will have to make your way to the kiosk and stand in queue with other motorists and those purchasing snacks etc!!!

In my local there are still some PaP, but I noticed that they disabled most of them before Christmas and that was when I learnt they were not run by Morrisons anymore.

Makes sense to me from the retailer's point of view.

Pay at pump would have been integral to Morrisons systems.  As its another part of the business Morrisons have hived off the keep the venture capitalists well funded the new owners probably won't have access to it.

Most petrol stations make more money selling overpriced chocolate bars than they do selling petrol. It's why so few offer pay at pump, despite the obvious advantages to both the business and the customer. Supermarkets only offered it in the first place because (a) the supermarket's profits subsidize the running of the Petrol station and (b) they have plenty of opportunity to sell you impulse purchases while your going round the supermarket instead.
