PIP backdated award l

I’ve received my PIP award letter yesterday.
It says I’m awarded the standard rate £68.10 a week from 7 March 2024.
Does not mention the rate from 8 April 2024 of £72.65.
It also says they’ve paid me a lump sum which they owe me from 7 March 2024 to 7 February 2025.

They’ve only given me the lump sum amount and dates it covered. How can I check the amount is correct?
The next payment is due in four weeks time. Can I just confirm that the amount should be £72.65?
Thanks.

Yes you would get the uplift in Apr 24 and should be included in your backdated payment.
A quick back of fag package calculation backpay should be about £3467 (someone will correct if wrong)

Because the 2023/2024 rate was in force on the date of your application, that is the rate written on your letter.
I had the same but my backpayment was still at the old & new rate, and my monthly payments were at the new rate.
To do the calculation, count how many weeks between March 7 & April 8, and multiply that by £68.10.
Then count how many weeks from April 8 to February 7th, multiply by £72.65.
Add the two together.
Does it match or almost match your backpay amount?1 -
I know you mean every 4 weeks, but to save OP any confusion.KxMx said:Because the 2023/2024 rate was in force on the date of your application, that is the rate written on your letter.
