Tax credits to UC

Hi,
We are having to apply for UC as tax credits are ending.
We applied and are waiting to find out how much we will get.
My wife has been on contribution based ESA support group for several years.
When we applied for UC it said they didn't need a fit note.
But yesterday my wife got a message on her journal to say they now require a fit note dated from 7 days from the date we applied for UC
I can't understand why they require a fit note ?
As I understood that contribution based Esa was separate to UC
Any help much appreciated
Thanks

Leave a message in your online journal pointing out your wife already has LCWRA and is claiming contributions based ESA. They can be a bit slow on the uptake0

Thank you.
We left a message yesterday on the journal but never heard back.1 -
It might take a couple of days. They do frequently mess up new claims. They didn't add a carers premium, transitional protection or take my esa into account and i had to leave a message. They sorted it fairly quickly though.jessmist said:Thank you.
