That's odd, given mediation isn't a hearing and there's a wealth of info and two links about this laughable waste of time phone call, in the first 12 steps in the Template Defence thread. Had the mediation appointment, they really do like to push you to offer something, honestly if wasn't for forums like these any normal person would just fold under the pressure of 'you might get a CCJ'0

Did they say anything specific? Complaints are going in about certain mediators sounding more like parking reps than workers for the court.2

Oh something along the lines of they do give you a grace period, and you've violated the terms by not paying on time, they will pursue the full money if it goes to court. They won't accept your offer of £1. Then something about a CCJ, but doesn't quite make clear that as long as you pay you won't get it even if you lose.Car1980 said:Did they say anything specific? More proof, if it were needed, that mediation is useless for parking claims when fault has not been established by a judge. If you think the mediator was unfairly biased, report them to scmreferrals@hmcts.gsi.gov.uk1
