@Gers @Coxy11 enjoy your comedians. I'm still sulking as I should have seen Jason Manfod last Wednesday but it was postponed until next year!!I always bought short length trousers in Marks but over the last couple of years they seem to have decided that short is longer now as whatever I try on are always too long now9

Morning all. Dull and damp again today, no sign of any sun, and on the chilly side so my daily walk may or may not happen. I made the fatal mistake of having a lie in this morning and am now feeling very lethargic. No matter, I didn't have anything specific planned for the day and my time is my own to pootle around as I see fit.
Yesterday I got done everything I'd planned to do, including sticking back together some broken things without getting super glue on my fingers. One thing I can't mend though is a knitting needle that I must have been sitting on and it's bent out of shape. Luckily I have another pair in the same size. I also had a text from my mobile provider about the cut off of 3G by the end of the year so, whether I like it or not, I'm going to have to get to grips with the smart phone that DS has given me.
I'm another one with a rammed freezer, no wriggle room at all, and I don't think even a tidy up will make it any better. Reminder to self - don't buy anything for the freezer! Tea tonight is a turkey stir fry with noodles - a small turkey fillet, not left over Xmas turkey.
Ruby - Rob seems to be coping well but it does sound as if his mum is going to need more help than she's willing to have.
Gers - You're right about the "other stuff" in the communal recycling bins. And yes, it's a faff posting things through the slot. Another complication - the council have decided glass can now go in these bins but glass doesn't squash down like plastic.
Snoozer - Happy birthday to Steve.
Right, time to make a move, it's getting chilly sitting here and I've no more waffle left anyway.Enjoy your weekend, stay warm and safe. X

Morning all
Cold here and raining and meant to keep up all day I think, OH can walk the dogs today 😃 I have a wash on the go which will have to stay on the airer.
DD is working a late shift today so won’t be here for dinner we are having steak chips and mushrooms which OH will cook as Saturday is his night for cooking.
Not a lot on today but I am going to make some roasted tomato soup for a dinner for next week we will have some cheese and ham toasties with it, Housework to do today and more washing.
I honestly don’t think Robs mum is capable of looking after him anymore she can’t stand anymore so how will she cook his food or even get him a drink, I think she is hoping that they will keep up the 24 hour care once she is home but it is just too expensive , I think it’s time now that she lets him go to a home before she gets too bad and he has to witness her decline but as I said she is very stubborn so I’m glad it’s not my job to tell her 😂
Happy Birthday to snoozers Steve xx
Scarlett how are you getting on ? X
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Hello from gloomy Mehefinland
No two days are the same at the moment and I can see why people need SAD lamps.
Went to the funeral of an old friends's Mum yesterday, and it was in the same place as we held Dawn's so it was a bit emotional. A nice service, and I learnt things about her which surprised me. For instance, she used to ride out racehorses on exercise! To look at her you would never think so, she never looked as if she would have the strength. It was another bright clothes affair which I struggled with a little as I have never been one for strong colours. Compromised with a waistcoat which has pheasants as a pattern and a matching bow tie. It was blooming cold hanging around outside the crem. waiting for the cortege though!!
This morning the lovely lady who was the celebrant at Dawn's came over for coffee and cake, and to see the horses. I may have persuaded her to ride the boy for me occasionally - she certainly seems keen. It is her busy time so it won't be for a while. We have a lot in common and an hour passed very quickly. A good friend in the making I think.
Will try to attack some more of the front garden later in readiness for a green waste collection on Monday. It was so cold with a biting wind in the last few days that I was reluctant to get out there.
Our Afghan resettlement people will be here a little longer but will probably all be gone by the end of May as the site is being given back to the Welsh Govt. At a meeting this week the CO expressed thanks for the way the community had rallied around and made the transition to UK for these poor souls easier. Currently there are about 150 here ( mostly families, and the majority number under the age of 18).
Hugs and sppons as always. Keep those poodles wrapped up - it's perishing here

Back from 5 days in Weston super mare ,had a good time ,mostly dry but so cold !
I thought I was the only one finding M&S short length longer ,so relieved it’s not just me ,I now need extra short but they’re not usual in the stores just on line .
If you still have a BonMarche near you they do27 “ length in their shops which generally fit .
Take care all9 -
Just to add to Sue's comment, Bon Marche also.do a length 25" in a few.of their styles too. I find their 27" jeans just the right length for me whereas M & S short are too long!
Ps welcome back Sue! X"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8
