Morning
Still dark outside which doesn't bode well, the forecast is for rain. Yesterday the wind was bitter, really went through you.
Chrisca , DH will be watching the footie and rugby. I will find something to keep me occupied. I know the freezer needs a sort out after I shoved my bargains in. I'm thinking it'll be burgers for tea, nice and easy and won't disrupt the sport viewing.
Now I've made you all jealous of my day ahead I'll love and leave you. Hugs to all who need them, take care.12 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. A bit of a drab start here but at least it's not raining (or worse!) but,, as usual it's blooming cold.
DS does like to keep me guessing when the SS will be, or what time! This w/e we are off this morning and he will be dropping his DP off at her shop on route so I'll be at the ready for them. Once again not a very big list and the only frozen item will be a bag of peas! I think I am finally beginning to see a little bit of daylight in the freezer so I am winning at last! This time last year I had two rammed freezers on the go and I have persisted in telling myself that one person doesn't need all this food. Success at last! I'll have a rummage shortly and see what I can get out for my tea.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all stay safe xx

Hi everyone, Just a quick one from me because it's Steve's birthday. Not a big one, that's next year but Chris, Crystal and Nate are coming over and I am cooking a rib of beef for a late lunch. I wasn't feeling too well yesterday so Laura made the cake which for some reason has turned out a bit flat. It's usually a foolproof recipe so we shall see. She cooked my lemon drizzle recipe the day before which also came out flat so I don't know what she is doing wrong. Esther's cuteness scale is off the chart at the moment, I think it's because her language skills are so good and it's funny hearing a little one speak in such an adult fashion. Have a good day.12

Morning All
Grey and overcast this morning and mighty cold but the bedding is out anyway, if it doesn't dry at least it will smell fresh!
I was exhausted last night when I got home after the dentist so had something to eat and went to bed at 8 to read for a while. I slept quite well so feeling a bit more human today. There's shopping to do and library books to return then I'm meeting some work friends for a trip to a light show in Glasgow and something to eat at a South Asian place that I've been to before and was very good, hoping for the same today. Both friends turn 65 in the next few weeks so I'll get them their dinner as a present.
Hope you're ok Scarlet.
Ruby, Rob's Mum sounds like a character, surely she'll not be able to look after Rob?
How's your Dad Nanny?
Hope the little one is well enought to get to school soon dp1.
Have a good trip to Glasgow Gers.
I had better get moving and re-make the bed. Have a good weekend, take care. XX11 -

Just about to head out locally to sains then ill get off the bus on the way back half way between sains and mine to look in charity shops and get few bits in the local shopping bit, you know the ones, shops surrounding a big car park, usual outlets like a pets at home etc..
Not sure what else the day will bring
Have a lovely Saturday

I've made it back. Got distracted upstairs with sorting out my collection of trousers. Most too big, some had tapered legs which is so horrid and some are simply worn out. Then I opened a new pair - what a shock! I must have shrunk as my usual M&S regular trousers are too long.
Must be an age thing, though it's disturbing. Now I've ordered a pair in short length.
Later on I'm off to Glasgow on the bus (it's coach really but is called the bus). I'm going to see Al Murray at the theatre. The ticket was booked ages ago so it's lovely that the show has come round. The wind will still be bitter so I've got out a hat, scarf and fingerless gloves.I hope that everyone has a good Saturday with family, friends, ruby, football, shopping, walking, resting or cooking.Hugs to all.11 -
PS - not the sale of the century - this made me laugh! One whole penny off the full price is classed as 'sale'.6

Morning everyone it’s dull and cold not a lot happening today I need to pop out for some shopping but otherwise it’s housework Coxy and Gers. Both enjoy your shows snoozer happy birthday to Steve I agree they are so funny when they start chatting away hope you’re little one is a bit better this weekend DP1 . TA I feel like I can see a few gaps in the freezer like you mine didn’t have an inch of space in but I’ve resisted a lot of yellow stickers this year it was madness how much food I had in at one point I had 28 packs of sausages and I was still buying them when I seen them reduced I’m down to 4 and it’s not going up I’ve decided I’m saving the money in my purse rather than the freezer we will never starve. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10
