Hole in ceiling from next door works

I just came home to this:



Above is the flat roof me and next door are joined on. They were doing work on it, no one there now sounds like a renovation.
  



They are hopefully back tomorrow or if not Monday. 

What are my steps now? Wait until I speak to them or phone insurer now, which I would now declare for next 5 years (already got a claim against me which wasn't my fault in 1st place or cause of and needs to be declared next 4 years).

Assuming it's only a hole in the ceiling, not a hole in the roof allowing the weather in, wait until they are next on site and guage their reaction.

Stick a bit of cardboard in the hole, if the draught's a problem.

I'd put money on a foot and a lot of swear words

Not really sure, can't see it being a foot.

There has been a lot of drilling on the side of the wall past few days and yesterday around that area outside on flat roof - I was working from home, gutted I was office today.

Can you take photos looking more into the hole?
