Barclaycard Credit Crunch Shenanigans?

Definitely might have something to do with the fact I have been with them for so long, and they simply haven't made enough money out of me.0

I have been with BC for over 10 years now and have two cards with them.
One Visa Plat with limit of £4,200 and with another MC Plat limit £5,500.
I never use the Visa one now because I have a lob transfer at 2.9% and the MC I never have used. I received a letter from them the other day raising my credit limit from £2,700 to £4,200 without intervention from myself.
Then you read stories that other posters have their limit slashed to £250 without any good reason or perhaps because one payment is missing. I have given up trying to understand the logic of credit card companys.0 -
We had same prob with Egg Money, we pay off every month. However at Xmas because we had some big household items I wanted to put on the card and get my % back from Egg. I applied for increased credit and was declined, appealed it and still declined. I don't think they like customers like us, they want account holders that will generate interest payments. Got me worried though, as we also have Barclaycard, that we nominally use for small purchases about every 3 months - I wonder if they will give us the bum's rush?0

I too have the EGG card and they never get interest from me. They increased my limit up to £6,000 and the most I have ever spent is only a few hundred pounds. Perhaps they are trying to turn me into a biggish spender.0 -
Now I'm really p**d off! Do you have the Egg or the Egg money card [probably a silly question to ask of and MSEr].0
