Aer Lingus customer service & voucher issue

Hi all,

i am currently awaiting a voucher currency change (from dollars to Euro) to enable use for flying out of Dublin. It has been 3weeks now, I already have the voucher in original dollar form.
3weeks, all they have to do is a simple currency change, click of a button job, but it's going nowhere endlessly.

Constantly on their chats - Facebook, WhatsApp, etc. where I get nowhere.
I have got through to 2 agents on the phone eventually - where they just come out with the same nothingness - 'oh i see its been on a bit of a backlog', 'I'll escalate that now to get sorted asap' (whilst likely doing fake keyboard typing at the same time).

Is there any way or correct person I can speak to to get this sorted? I need to use this voucher to book flights for a summer holiday, the total price of the flights of course rises whilst I await for this voucher.

Any ideas/tips greatly appreciated sir.

Regards

Are you in the USA?  Is that why to accepted/received a credit in USD$?

When paying for new Aer Lingus flights can you not just change the payment currency to USD$ and use the credit voucher that way?
  • yes, i was living in Canada at the time, so they gave me a voucher for a cancelled flight (after much fighting), so it was given to me in USD.

No, when booking out of Dublin it will change the currency to Euro. I believe it changes as to the currency of the departure airport.

Oh, how annoying that there is no option to change payment currency. Hope you manage to resolve soon with a reissued € voucher.
