Morning all
It feels bitterly cold here with a howling wind, I am off to get my nails done this morning and I’m having a Botox jab 😳 in my jaw to try and stop me from grinding my teeth at night I do it every night and my teeth are starting to chip and crumble I am terrified that I will wake up one day with a tooth misssing 😳 my nail lady has said that this should stop me from being able to clench my jaw and I should only have to have it done twice a year it’s quite expensive but a lot cheaper than false teeth 😬
I took Rob to see his mum yesterday and she was so pleased to see him he seemed pleased to see her but was just as happy when it was time to leave, still no sign of her coming out she is having some big health problems and they want Rob in placement before she can come home, she is determined to get out though and wants him back immediately, but I am not sure how it’s going to work her toilet is upstairs as is the bathroom and beds and she still can’t walk very far if at all, I’m glad it’s not my job to work it all out as she is a very determined woman.
I will take the dogs out this morning and then have a rest this afternoon, we are treating ourselves to an Indian takeaway tonight so no cooking for me.
TA I am sure you would enjoy it once you get there but if you really don’t want to go then don’t xxx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning allJust back from shopping and as I pulled up the heavens opened with a hailstorm! Sitting here now with a coffee drying outTA just think you might not have to contribute so much in a big group and, yes, have a ready made excuse to leave early when it gets too much. Hope it's not as bad as you think, if you do go that is.Not much going on here so I'll wish you all a good day x10

😃For @Coxy's OH - that's great news. Congratulations to him.@TA - I've always been on the anti-social side, even with family. At my 40th birthday party, held in my own home I left them all and went to bed! The party was fabulous and remains one of my happiest memories, but all those people...@Ruby - seeing Rob will have cheered his mum.@DP1 - I hope that your little one has a good weekend.@Taff - one of my joys is simply watching the sky. Yesterday the postie came very late (4.30p.m.) and we stood to look at the half crescent moon for ages.
And @Yorks - I think those bins are locked to stop 'other' stuff being put in. I complained about the letter box ones (the great big huge ones) as the holes are far too high up for comfort, plus slotting stuff in is a faff. A contact in the local dump told me that the door to them round the back is always open! Because of the storm the bins dotted round the town haven't been emptied for ages, they were yesterday. Lots of post on FB.
The sun has come out though it's not warm, only 2c so not too inviting. I'm going to Glasgow tomorrow, just for one night, so will sort out my backpack. The little pouches for shampoo and conditioner need refilling and it's fiddly.8 -
Update!! I'm not going to the lunch meet up. DD is going so I texted her to offer my apologies for not joining them. Of course she wanted to know why and has analysed the problem as she has just had a very similar conversation with her DF who lost her DH last year. In my case she reminded me that I was still coming to terms with losing her dad (my lovely Bob) when Covid struck and we were all then in lockdown and I was housebound alone with my grief, with just one to one telephone conversations happening. So when life resumed again I had got out of the habit of mixing with lots of people. I know the answer lies with me and I have promised her I will force myself to meet them all next time! Meanwhile I will stick to just meeting my DFs or immediate family as usual as I can cope with that! xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12

Good morning
Went on the walk yesterday, very cold but at least it didn't rain.
@TravellingAbuela I know exactly how you feel. I just decided if it causes me too much anxiety I don't do it. Anything new or more than two or three people are a no.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
