Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, chilly here too!!
Yesterday was fairly busy at work followed by a trip to a lovely quiet Ikea with DD and the little one, we had some food there too, £3.00 for sausage, mash and veggies so quite a bargain.
I'm running a bit late this morning so won't hang about, dentist after work today then I'm going to lay on the sofa and watch mindless TV for the evening!
Hope you're all well, take care. XX15 -
I'm most reluctant to get up, only because it's so cold and taking off and putting on clothes is not appealing. The day is forecasted to be bright and clear, hope it comes along soon. The pool class was good though I'm feeling the lack of the Monday session, some things were more difficult than they should be. The leader of that is back at the end of February. After the class I had a meeting over Teams which went a lot better than I anticipated, mind you I didn't have to say much.No plans for today though I'm enjoying lying in bed watching the sky change to baby pink with a pale blue band. 😀 Right, here I go...time to shift myself.I hope that all is well @Scarlet. Hugs to all our poorlies.12

Morning
Not as chilly here as previous mornings, 4 degrees at present. Yesterday was sunny most of the day, but cold. Still, it's nice to see the sun.
In the afternoon i went to Ald*, mainly for bread and potatoes, but struck lucky with their 50% discounts. So once again the freezer is full, chicken thigh fillets and belly pork mainly. A few meals there.
Today I'm off to the pharmacy to pick up DH's prescription, and then to the vets for big dogs worming tablets, hope I don't get them mixed up! Other than that no other plans.
Ruby, I hope Rob got to visit his mum and his foot is improving.
I haven't caught up with other news so will send hugs to all who need them. Have a good day all, take care.12 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's cold here too but no frost this morning, nor any sun forecast.. Despite yesterday's sun it never got any warmer all day.
I should be meeting a group of in-laws today at lunch time, just for a get together, and a catch up, but I am getting in a dither about it. For reasons I can't explain I can't cope with meeting a largish group of people these days and I am thinking of crying off. I didn't used to be this unsociable and I am happy meeting 2 or 3 people but meeting larger groups, even though I know them all, is a different thing. I have turned into a wimp in my old age but can't explain why.
So I don't know what the day holds. Do I go or don't I. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning everyone
I'm early for once as I'm going down to sit with little one while DD helps a friend for a couple of hours, she is moving house. She needs to get out the house for a bit.
Really looking to seeing little one, she is still on her feeding pump and still not eating. It's a vicious circle really...being on her feeding pump means she doesn't feel hungry and is keeping her sugars steady, coming off the pump she would be hungry so would start eating again, but then theres a big chance her sugars will go dangerously low again.
DD had spoken to her consultant yesterday who said to try her off it again over the weekend.
Right I'd best get sorted or I'll miss the bus. Hope you all have a good day x10 -
Morning everyone I’m off to my volunteering at the food waste this morning it’s cold but we haven’t got the hard frost we had yesterday but we haven’t got the sunshine we had yesterday. TA I know exactly how you feel I feel I’ve lost all of my confidence as I’ve got older I can lie in bed on a night and go over things I’m going to do and how I’m going to do it then I get up and I can’t do it it’s stupid and I really get annoying with myself. I have got the throw of the sofa in washing I will hang it out I don’t know if it will dry much but it will freshen it up I will finish it off on the airer . Not a clue what we are having tonight I keep opening the freezer door and closing it again I will sort something out later. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Morning! Missed yesterday somehow, so unfortunately for you lot, I'm back today
Didn't really get round to a lot yesterday, the ROD had no changes, I manhandled the outside table back outside, made easier by me putting a bracer on the bottom. The cats can now sharpen their claws outside again and leave the shreds there instad of in the kitchen. I did get my saw out and cut up enough wood to chop for kindling to fill the basket by the fire, so much easier to do a load at once instead of bit by bit. And a couple of friends came round in the night, and we've booked a day for going out in a couple of weeks. The weather is quite rubbish outside, windy and threatening either snow or rain. Might as well stay in
TA, well, if you truly don't want to go, then don't go. I will say though, you can only speak to one person at a time or a few in a group. And you can always say you're not feeling well and skip off early if you do go and get overwhelmed. Gersm that kind of waking up sounds lovely. No such luck here. Remmie, well done on bargain shopping. camelot, yes, if I lived nearer, I'd definitely go for a breakfast too...Yorkslass, if they can't find a key, I'd be finding someone to shoehorn it open for them. It won't be anything really difficult, jut a metal catch. mehefin, hope you get some news re Dawns medal. Rosy, time for a hammer on a string by the water bowl! Ruby, hope the visit went well, although it does sound he's getting better treatment now too. Izzy, hope the pie was niceHow's the eye Scarlet? Nanny, hope it's going well. SO, you too...Take care all, including poodles...wrap uptoday!

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers. Chilly here too and for once, DH got up first so I could shower and dress straightaway (only shower is in the en suite and VERY noisy). We went to the community kitchen garden yesterday but later than planned and nobody else there. They write jobs on the whiteboard so we used wheelbarrows to shift woodchip and topped up the paths between the veg beds. Only did an hour (2) but hoping to get there again next week.DH has a job! He is to be the new caretaker at the primary school opposite our house. 10 hrs/wk but he’s overjoyed. Hopefully starting soon once all checks are completed. The ILs are coming today and we will pop to the local market town for a look around/coffee. Dinner to ginger and soy salmon with pak Choi and rice.Enjoy seeing DGD @dp1 - such a worry for you all x
I hope you do get out today @TravellingAbuela might be a tonic for you x
Have a good day everyone

Morning all, thanks @Gers no frost today, and no need for a hammer near the water bowl @-taff, good idea thoughEnjoy seeing LO @dp1Pleased for DH's new job @Coxy11@TravellingAbuela,it is meant to be good for your health to socialise though I know what you mean. A friend of ours won't go anywhere now at all, and she used to be the life & soul. I think the lockdowns didn't help at allWe have to go back to the retail park to the opticians, we ran out of time to choose new glasses, it was so busy. We wanted some lunch too and it was getting late so we said we'd come back today. I also realised I'd forgotten to pick my meat up from the butchers so need to do that too.Hope everyone has a good day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all. Mr Weatherman says it will be cloudy with a moderate breeze today - well, it's certainly dull and damp, that's for sure! Next week doesn't look any better either.
Yesterday's hairdresser trip didn't take long but it was nice to be out in the sun, even if it didn't feel very warm. When I got there she was on the phone complaining about some new clippers she'd bought that didn't work properly so, while I waited, I had a chat with her sister who rents a space as a nail bar. When I got back home there was a parcel on my doorstep; I was expecting one but hadn't had an email from the courier about it and I still haven't had one this morning. Most unusual.
It's Friday admin/planning today plus the "sticking" repairs that didn't get done yesterday. Tea tonight will be a fish fillet with sliced/fried leftover potatoes.
TA - I know what you mean about socialising in large groups. Last weekend I could have gone to my ex-SiL's 70th party but I honestly couldn't face it. I'm still finding my feet as a singleton but I'll have to give myself a good talking to before I turn into a hermit!
taff - I've no idea why these bins have to be locked in the first place - the letterbox slot idea is next to useless anyway!
Coxy - Well done to your DH on his new job and how convenient it's just over the road.
Right, let's see what thrilling things I can find to do today. Enjoy your day, wrap up warm and take care. Have a virtual hug if you need one. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9
