YORKSHIRE VET COMPETITION - ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1)The prize comprises a five (5) night Glorious Yorkshire trip with Great Rail Journeys for two (2) including

a)An allowance of £100 towards UK travel costs made payable to the winner in the form of a BACS transfer.

b)Five (5) nights 4* hotel accommodation sharing a standard room

c)All rail and coach travel throughout the tour

d) 8 meals in total during the trip including 5 breakfasts and 3 dinners excluding drinks

e) Excursions as indicated in the trip overview

2)Where the prize winner is under 18 years old, the winning individual must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over to check into the hotels. Please note that either the prize winner or their companion will need a current and valid credit card in order to check in at the hotel for security deposit purposes.

3) The prize must be taken within 12 months of the winner being announced on specific tour dates. The stay must be completed within the time-frame stated within these terms and conditions. Extensions to the validity of the prize will not be allowed unless first authorised by Channel 5.

4) Booking is subject to availability. 

5) The prize winner must book their trip within 28 days of the date of their congratulations letter from Cloud Nine and at least six weeks in advance of their preferred booking date or the prize may be forfeited.

6) Great Rail journeys have classed this tour as Level 2 for mobility - You prefer a well-rounded approach to travel that includes both activity and relaxation. You're comfortable walking for 30-45 minutes at a time on various terrains, including cobblestoned streets, straightforward paths, and routes that involve rail changes. However, you also value some downtime to unwind and recharge during your travels.

7) Neither Channel 5 nor Cloud Nine will accept responsibility for the accommodation or any facilities / elements of the prize being unavailable, withdrawn or amended.

8) It is the responsibility of the prize winner to inform the prize provider of any wheelchair or similar access requirements for the prize winner and his/her companion when taking the prize, and to adhere to any applicable health and safety guidelines. Further detail can be found here.

9) Any amendments made by the prize winner after the booking is confirmed may be subject to administration charges levied by the specific supplier. Any such charges will be the responsibility of the prize winner.

10) If fulfilment or any element of this promotion is delayed or affected due to a pandemic or global emergency and resulting Government restrictions, all entrants affected will be contacted by the Promoter and kept updated of any unavoidable changes to the promotional dates, revised fulfilment dates or prizes.

11) Any additional charges or expenses due to a pandemic or global emergency which could include but are not limited to  quarantine hotels, medical passports (should they become a requirement), medical tests etc. will be the responsibility of the prize winner. 

12) There is no cash alternative or refund for unused portions of the prize.

13) An allowance towards UK travel costs will be provided to the winner only. The allowance is calculated at a set maximum of £50 per guest and will be made payable to the winner at the time of accommodation booking by the prize provider as a BACs transfer. This travel allowance will be paid to the winner up to a maximum of 2 guests / £100.  Neither Channel 5 nor the prize provider are responsible for organising travel arrangements for this prize, it will be the winners responsibility to organise this appropriately throughout their stay unless otherwise stated.
