Weakest link is the human.
Biggest problem with card reader is the need to carry it around with you & the risk of it getting broken.
HSBC used to have one about credit card size, just thicker. Guess where it got stored & sat on.Life in the slow lane0 -
That's good, but does beg the question - what controls are in place so that only the real address for the real SIM owner is used to send that replacement SIM out?
You said you have a PAYG SIM, does that come with a secure online account (preferably with 2FA*) where only you can set up or change your address details?

Yes I have an online account, I had not enabled 2FA, but I can see an option to do so where a code will be sent to the registered email address.0
