Nectar App Update - Locked Points

Just keeps telling me to get the main account holder to lock. Well that’s me but I’ll try on desktop rather than app.0

I'm pleased they've launched this because I tend to let my points build up. I nearly got done before Christmas - I spent all my points in a local store, then a couple of days later I got a notification thanking me for shopping and inviting me to play that scratchcard game. When I checked, my card had been used on a £5 shop in a Sainsburys 150 miles away (although, strangely, one I used once about 2 years ago when on a work trip). I assume someone was trying to see if I had any points to steal.
I got the last laugh though as I got 5 points from their shopping and another 20 on the scratchcard game.0 -
Hmm. When my points were used fraudulently, I was informed of my new card number via e-mail. Months later I have not received a new physical card; did anyone specifically request one or did it just turn up ? Now wondering if my card got lost in the post or if you specifically had to request one...

Not a good feature. I've had one of these cards for around 20 years. I it use regularly but don't allow balances to mount up. It came originally via Barclaycard. I tried using it a few weeks ago unsuccessfully but a second attempt today to use it to get money off my shop at Sainsbury's was also unsuccessful. I was unable to unlock it online and had to contact Nectar by phone. The reason I could not unlock it was it turns out that I'm not the main cardholder even though my card is registered (to me) but not my partner's one who never uses it and had discarded his years ago. It has been unlocked now by my partner agreeing to speaking to the Nectar employee on the phone. I plan to spend the £5 credit on the card and then open a new account to avoid this happening again but extremely annoying and frustrating. It's fine to be able to lock it if required but unlocked should be the default setting.0
