Hanging paint scuttle from a ladder

Not sure if I’m overthinking it, going to paint the top of the house up a ladder and use a roller and paint scuttle.  How do I hang/secure the paint filled scuttle to the ladder or a rung?

I searched ‘paint scuttle hook’ and am really struggling…..  please someone enlighten me!

Take an old wire coathanger, preferably a thicker one.  Chop out a decent length of wire from it.  Bend it into an S shape.

I put an old broom handle through the hollow rung of the ladder, then hang a paint pot on the end where it sticks out.
