Even consulting both of your personal schedules, and looking at the time and location?

I have been through this myself, company car with four possible drivers on the day. It was sent to me from the lease company. I work in the motor trade so drive different cars all day long. Went to court after viewing the evidence, provided data to show where I was on what days, receipts. Diaries etc. The court determined I had made an effort to make sure the correct person was named but impossible to know, case dismissed.

  • Thanks for the advice, it's time to flip the coin as we have no idea who was driving.

Don't be fooled into thinking that its a dodge, it isn't, you have to be 100% honest with yourself on this.

I'd write on the form, or if no space a letter attached to it, and say what you have above, making it clear you're not trying to avoid paying just that you genuinely don't know who was driving. I thought you had to receive the notification within 14 days of the offense.
You need to be aware that this ^ is terrible advice and likley to lead to conviction for failure to identify the driver; 6 penalty points; and significantly increased insurance for the next 5 years.

Also, only the Registered Keeper has to receive a NIP within 14 days of the offence.  The OP's car is a lease car so the OP won't be the Registered Keeper.
