Love Holiday Package flight cancellation

We've been sent a message this morning from Love Holidays, stating that our return flight for our package holiday in June has been cancelled. They have said that our ticket has been changed to an 'open ticket' and we have to find an alternative flight for the same value, any extra will have to be paid by us. We bought the holiday as a package deal, as in we paid for all the elements in the same transaction. I would have thought that this means it is up to them to source the alternative flight? It states on the booking that they are acting as our agent with the airline

Yes, it's up to them to source an alternative flight:

However, they can seek to recover the price difference from you if it's more expensive, so it may be worth at least doing some research yourself, e.g. via the likes of Skyscanner....1 -
