Morning All
Cold and a little bit frosty but not too bad. The car is defrosting as we speak!
Nice of you to offer your instrument Mehefin, hope you get Dawn's award.
The visit at school seemed to go well, boy can they drink a lot of tea and coffee! I'm sure we will here more today about how it went. Hopefully they didn't hear the commotion with two boys who ended up going home in disgrace.
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX12 -
Now I'm more awake. I had a lovely long and deep sleep though woke up in the midst of a great dream which left me a bit dopey for a wee while. Now I can't remember the dream.Taking my friend with me yesterday was enjoyable. Shopping didn't take long as we whizzed round Marks. Just before I dropped her off we took a trip right down the track of her village, all down the edge of loch and back. It was a little jaunt which explored new places (for me), there were so many houses nestled amongst the trees and hills, she knew who lived in each one so it became a guided tour. We went as far as the track lasted. A wee fun treat. At lunch I boiled some eggs, not before dropping one on the cooker. My attempt to catch it only broke it which sent it smearing itself down the unit of drawers onto the freshly washed floor. Raw egg everywhere. ☹️ Took ages to clear up too. This morning is my swimming pool exercise class, I'm packed and ready.11

Morning all, very cold & frosty here. Poochs water bowl outside was frozen- she's a funny old thing & won't drink inside
I had to crack all the ice with my hands before I could fill it again, hands were freezing.
Gers your little ride down the track sounds good, amazing that places close to home can be still be discovered. My cousin came yesterday and we had a good old chat, we're going to arrange a get together with the other cousins for later in the month.Busy day today, O delivery shortly, then we're both off to the opticians at the retail park, hopefully a spot of lunch, collect the meat pack from the butchers, school run.Take care all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Good morning
-1 and a thick frost here. Yesterday was sunny but cold I didn't warm up all day.
Today I'm going to do some batch cooking for the freezer, haven't done that for a while due to space. Individual steak and kidney pies for DH and a pot of chilli for me. That way we can both enjoy our favourite meals.
Must go, big dog is moaning to go out. Take care all.12 -
Morning all
Cold and frosty here and not meant to warm up much all day, I am off to collect Rob today and see how he is, his foot was still bad yesterday but getting better each day, we are going to visit another respite place on Monday so hopefully it’s better than the last one.
We are going to visit his mum in hospital later I am sure they will be so pleased to see each other although I think Rob is loving life atm with regular food and regular baths which he hasn’t had for a good while.
Dinner tonight is a new chicken recipe involving Parmesan and garlic I saw the recipe online and the picture looked lovely so hopefully it will taste as good as it looks.
I have put a wash on this morning which will have to go on the airer I will have a quick tidy through before I go out.
Mehefin I hope you can get Dawn’s medal for her xxx
Scarlett hope all went well xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -

Morning folks and thanks GERS for starting off. Your surprise little jaunt sounds lovely. I hope the hospital appointments went well and no problems for S and C.. We too have a thick frost and oh so chilly but we are forecast a sunny day, sadly without any warmth to it!
We enjoyed our bus trip out yesterday but oh it was chilly despite the blinding sunshine. The poor stall holders looked frozen stiff. One or two bits bought but nothing to write home about! Nor was our lunch sadly! Time for a change next time methinks!
Today I must bring forward the Friday Tidy as I am out again tomorrow. It will be a half hearted job as I am still feeling half asleep despite a rare decent night. For me anyway! DD told me last night that middle DGD had got a Sunday (and holiday) job in the cafe of the local museum. I have never been in the cafe myself but I have heard good reports of it. She is now in her GCSE year at school so we are hoping it doesn't interfere with her studies, as she is also keeping on her Saturday morning job at the dance studio helping out with the younger ones.
Well I had better get myself moving I suppose so waffling over. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Fingers crossed MEHEFIN. IZZY how did your "chat" with DH about holidays go?! Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning everyone
Just a quick one from me as I have jobs to do before work.
I got some bargains in Homebase yesterday - 5 lovely big garden pots, proper heavy ones instead of my usual plastic - they are in the downstairs loo out of the way just now. Also a new laundry hamper and a lovely little pouffe/storage box.
Theres a lot of empty shelves but still a lot of random 'stuff' to buy.
Enjoyed the film yesterday, it was very quiet. Little one still very tired though DD says her cold seemed a little better in the afternoon.
Must get on...I hope everyone has a good day x11
