eBay UK - Buying item from Europe, How much do I pay in fees?

I wish to buy an item in Europe (Germany)

The item is a car part, costs €1400 +(€100 postage and packaging)

It is a spoiler that weighs roughly 5kg and is roughly 1.5m long

Anyone know how to calculate the VAT/custom charges to UK please? I don’t understand how to get the correct price to expect

Be dependent on exchange rates at the time of importation. Around £260 I'd estimate.

Ok I was estimating £250 but wasn’t sure if there was fees from the couriers for handling custom charges?

I had to pay a fee to the courier for an item I imported from the USA, it was £10 but this will, of course, vary between couriers.

There'll be a handling charge of some description.

Is the seller VAT registered in Germany?  If so, you need to find out if the quoted price includes VAT or not.
Exporting it out of the EU, they should not add German VAT (Mehrwehrsteuer or MwSt) and you will just pay UK VAT on import plus the clearance fee as mentioned.
