Car from dealer not maintained. Any

Main dealer servicing is particularly bad because nobody has got any interest in if it has been done or not. People have a brand new car, they just want a main dealer stamp, not bothered if anything is actually done. Multiple surveys by trading standards always showed poor servicing. Main dealers were never better than independents.1

Main dealer MOT and servicing in one I would agree. I know of two cars that have had this all their lives and both have failed MOTs on minor things that should have been done in the service, one at 9,000 miles and 3 years old and the other at 14,000 and 6 years old.Ibrahim5 said:Main dealer servicing is particularly bad because nobody has got any interest in if it has been done or not. What about when a local garage uses whatever oil they have in stock; where the main dealer uses the correct specification oil? And in due course, it causes a problem?Ibrahim5 said:Main dealer servicing is particularly bad because nobody has got any interest in if it has been done or not. Also, I see you seem shy about sharing your qualifications and tech info sources. I am guessing you don't have a subscription to anything.....0 -
i worked in a main dealer for some years and a lot of the servicing was slipshod mainly because of the bonus that was paid for doing it quicker and a lot of stuff was charged out but never fitted0
