Storage heater STMS - 255 - A

I can't find much about these online but did anyone know if these are a model with asbestos and how I can take them off the wall to clean behind them?

Thank you

You can’t take off wall to clean them . They are very heavy and should not be done by yourself .. you can vacuum underneath and around them but that is it …

i also run the Dyson hose across the front vent but that is it

Absolutely don't try and take them off the wall regardless of what they contain. They need dismantling before they are removed, and that is a job for a trained electrician!

I had a disaster when I wanted to decorate behind a storage heater.

I switched it off for a week then released a couple of screws which I thought held the casing. The storage heater fell off the wall and began to burn a rectangular patch in the carpet !

I made an insurance claim for fire damage. This rejected as there had been no flame. I appealed and had an assessor come and he agreed we me and proposed a settlement figure above what I claimed.
