Vets 4 Pets Bitterne

I cant believe I'm back ..... it's not me, but it's the same location again and this time a family member. Same scam, different "solicitor" outfit. It really makes me despise Vets 4 Pets more than anything, being in bed with the usual bottom feeders. BWL for me, Gladstone's for them.
My brother in law made mention at the weekend he has a CCJ from Gladstone's for £485. Exactly at the same confusing place they tried to scam me where this empty car park sits between a Sainsbury's and a subway, but is actually owned by Vets 4 Pets. You cant buy a ticket, you have to go into Vets 4 Pets to register your registration if you spot the signs.
I dont know if I can actually take this fight on for them again, it took me to such a dark place last time. The night they told me, it kept me awake with my blood boiling. They dont have much money, and less sense, they wont mind me saying that. Their current thought is pay the CCJ. They're not very good at being adults is the long running joke within the family.
It's going to fall down to me to take this fight on or let them pay. The above sounds drastic, but I had so many repercussions as a result of my CCJ that affect myself and my family in a big way.

This in fact, could be a very quick thread.
I've just learned they had received the claim form, but followed their 'friends' advice and ignored it, does this leave them pretty much hung out to dry and forced to pay the £485?2 -

Frustrating, especially giving the second you enter this car park next to a large Tescos, you're done for unless already a vets for pets customer. Theres no option to pay, and those signs are up and down constantly. I've proof from my case to that they use old photos in their auto claim system.
I'm more fed up with Vets 4 Pets employing these scumbags, they should hang in shame. I assume they employ Premier park, who then use their fellow scumbag failed solicitors BWL / Gladstone's / Insert other gutter rats here.1 -
All is not lost:
The relative could try a CCJ set aside based on CPR 13.3 (court discretion). Chances of success boosted if they could put together a credible draft defence and if they act 'promptly'.
Fairly good chances but not guaranteed and it will cost them £303 with little or no prospect of the C being ordered to pay that back. AND they'd have to get their head around their defence to explain it to a Judge.
Can these relatives do that without you taking that burden, Harvez? Sounds like it's a no...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi @Coupon-mad great to see you still helping the UK against these cretins.
In answer to your last question, absolutely not. It'll sit squarely on my shoulders. But family fight for each other right? this just feels like bringing up old scars. Flip side, its the exact same location I've fought before, just different scum.
They were there for 26 minutes, presumably at the subway adjacent to the Vets 4 Scams. Is the fact once you're in that car park, unless you're a vets4pets member, you've already clocked a scam ticket; a valuable defence? i.e. they couldn't pay if they wanted to, its just seemingly a restricted plot of land with no gate but an inviting car park / entrapment zone2 -
What is the date of the CCJ and are they, in fact, still in time to pay it, should they decide to take that course of action? Not suggesting they do pay but ignoring a N1SDT claim form leaves them in a tight spot!0

So what I've/they've received, is a letter from Gladstone's which states the Date of Judgement: 20th January 2025. Nothing official from the courts, should they had done so?
I think I'm going to just tell them to pay and learn (hopefully).1 -
I know it's not advised normally, but giving the circumstances at play here, do they pay the money to Gladstone's? should they then do anything else? i.e. me not trusting them to confirm its been paid. Not sure how it works really.Gladstone letter reads"Once we receive payment, you will be able to request a Certificate of Cancellation directly from the Court, although a Court feee may be applicable".

Payment details should be on the original N1SDT claim form2

Yep, pay Gladstones (hate saying that).
And make sure they do it THIS WEEK and don't delay it or faff about thinking they can pay in instalments (they can't, or they'll have a CCJ). Get it done. But tell the family how easy it would have been to defend...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
