Just on bus heading to work. Weather doesn't seem too cold. Work gearing up to be busy. Nothing else going on dinner will be leftovers. Then bit of tv before bed
Enjoy Tue whatever your plans are12 -
Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's dry here, I might get some washing out.
Allie and Sue, hope you both enjoy your time away, it'll be a nice break. It's what you need at this time of year.
Sorry you're not sleeping well Nanny, it's a long night when you can't sleep.
WL, hope your heating was fixed.
Arielgirl, I'm sure you're right about the washing and traffic pollution, do you have a heated airer for drying indoors? One of my family lives in an upstairs flat and they swear by their heated airer.
Dp1, sorry to read that dg d has hasn't been well, hope she picks up.
Visiting one of my elderly friends this morning, don't know what else is in store for me, hope it's something nice!
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can.
Take care folks.

Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers
Yesterday turned out to be sunny and warm after a cold frosty start. Sat in the conservatory for the first time this year, it's usually too cold in the winter.
Take care

The pounding rain yesterday stopped in the early afternoon, still no sun though. I meandered my way through the day without much output. News of the ill health of an old friend in Newcastle (in both senses) took me a while process. I'm already going down to see other friends in Darlington at the end of the month so will now swing past Newcastle on the way home to see him and his lovely wife.As for today...the noisy wind has calmed down so I'm hoping for a better day. I have a return parcel to take to the delivery office which I'll be glad to see the back of. Trying to get the company to send me a print-at-PO label was impossible, that meant me digging out paper for my own printer which was buried under a pile of stuff in the utility room. Then I had to download updated drivers etc before I could print off the return label. I needed a few moments of eyes closed time after that.More soup for lunch, it's getting me through the dark and dismal days when cooking becomes too much of an effort.I hope that everyone and their loved ones are doing well. Hugs to all.13

Morning
Dry outside, yesterday was a lovely sunny day, not too cold, hope today is the same.
Today is my dd's 48th birthday! How did that happen? How is my baby that age, and how am I old enough to have a child of that age? Will be face timing her later.
Yesterday we popped to our local As*a as DH needed to get diesel. Went into the store with a small list, but oh my goodness has the store gone downhill since I was last in there. It seemed so dingy and dirty, the shelves were half empty and staff were just standing around talking. Got what I needed and couldn't wait to get out. Will be emailing them later.
No plans for today at present apart from the usual chores. Maybe pork chops for dinner.
Hugs to all who need them. Have a good day everyone, take care.12 -
Morning allNo frost this morning, well if there was it had gone by the time I'd got up! Still feels cold though. No plans for today as yet, will see what takes my fancy. I might sort my wardrobe out but got to be in the mood to do a proper job otherwise I'll probably lose the will to live half way through!Hope everyone is doing OK and hugs for the poorlies x12

Morning all
Cold here and a bit frosty heating has gone on for a while, I have three people coming today all being well, yesterday Rob turned up and could hardly get out of the taxi his left foot was so swollen I had to almost carry him into the house it was his gout playing up I am expecting more of the same today so have warned the others that we will need to stay in and have a day at home, we can play some games watch a film and have some lunch it will actually make a nice change.
Dinner tonight will be some filled pasta with some smashed avocado and salad, dd is working late so not here for dinner, I have to have a quick tidy round before my guests come.
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. It feels much milder this morning and currently fine but they say light rain will arrive by lunchtime. Better than snow I suppose!
I am meeting DF for lunch and intend to try somewhere else today. Our usual haunt has got too busy and noisy lately for some reason. It's hard to hear yourselves speak. After yesterday's disastrous haircut I may go out in a balaclava! I think she has been reading the press article about short pixie cuts dominating the recent fashion weeks!! Unfortunately I have long ago stopped being a dedicated follow of fashion and it's much shorter than I like these days. Oh well the damage has been done and no use crying over it! Hopefully it will soon grow.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. It seems poor ROB has now joined the poorly list so I hope his foot is soon feeling better poor lad. Take care one and all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning all and thanks @Gers for starting us off (on what ISN'T your birthday lol!!) Sorry brain fog!
Mum, DSis and I went to Em and Ess yesterday and we each bought an item of knitwear with a 20% off Sparks offer. We also had a cake...... Today we have the drains company coming out AGAIN as there is still an issue. Luckily we have cover. DH and I are then planning on going up to the community kitchen garden for a few hours. I have a WI committee meeting this evening so will need to eat earlier and get on the road.
Enjoy your lunch out with your pal @TravellingAbuela
Ouch gout is so painful - poor Rob. Is his mum home yet @RedRuby1231?
I too have heard good things about heated airers @arielgirl - low cost to run and warms a room too.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. The sun is shining here so it looks good through the window!
We have heating! Apparently the pump had seized up so the boiler went into automatic shutdown. A new pump - at a cost - has sorted it all out and we are now toasty warm again.
Today I need to get the shopping that I postponed from yesterday. I will put the slow cooker on in a minute and then get going.
Sorry to hear Rob's gout is bad. Hope everyone else is managing ok.7
