    This one is a '5 minute rule' (hopeless) case that I asked the IPC to step in and cancel last year. As in, I emailed and specifically linked this case in a list of 5 minute rule claims for Will Hurley to step in like Sara at the BPA does.

    Could the IPC be bothered?

    Clearly not, but when Jake finally read the defence (ready to bung in the usual drivel WS) he'll have realised it couldn't be won.

    We have seen DCB Legal unnecessarily pay the hearing fee before. Still unknown if it's incompetence or they are contractually obligated to with VCS/Excel.

    I suspect that the arrangement is that DCB Legal probably 'front' the filing & hearing fees for VCS and Excel cases then - only after that - when they automatically transfer the files is the first time anyone looks at it.

    Most cases, of course, proceed to a hearing because JB and SRS aren't the type to admit when they are wrong, hence the horrible sour grapes bicycle tweet by JB (after VCS/Excel were legally 'educated' by proper lawyers) and financially slapped for over ten grand in the Hannah Robinson case!

    Making THIS one nigh on impossible to win. VCS may be arrogant bullies but they aren't quite that stupid as to run a 5 minute rule case to a hearing.

    Especially if they knew from Will Hurley in 2025 that this one had been flagged to the MHCLG by me. They probably did know but hoped the victim would roll over.
