Hi,
Long time lurker of this forum, sadly now first time poster - my fight against these racketeering so and so's starts here. I'm neither the keeper or driver, but do want to help them fight this.
Invoice received for £100 from G24 for overstaying at a retail park by 17 mins (vs 3 hours free period).
I've read the newbies thread and, if I've understood correctly:
Plan A - we will contact the shops on the retail park where purchases were made and ask if they can get it cancelled.
Plan B - the invoice is classed as the formal NTK, so they appeal using the 'Template One Size Fits All First Appeal' within 28 days. We'll tweak this as the invoice does include photos of the vehicle (but not any signage) and remove reference to the 'PDT' machine as there are no ticket machnes on site. With this being for an overstay, would there be any point attaching receipts from the shops where purchases were made?
Is there anything I've missed, or misunderstood, at this stage?
Thank you.

Plan A should probably be complaining about it to the retail park management company or landowner, the businesses may help but they don't have a contract with G24, the retail park management company do
Copies of the receipts etc may help, as proof of patronage with both parties , you never know
No blabbing about who was driving, not to anyone2 -
Where exactly is this retail park?
Has it featured on this forum before?2 -
Anyone in the vehicle the holder of a blue badge? If able bodied people are allowed 3 hours, then a badge holder going 17 minutes over would suggest that someone without a medical condition would have got their shopping done and got back to the vehicle without getting a charge. They must make reasonable adjustments per the Equality Act 2010.1

Yep that's true.
Apart from that, if the retail park complaint fails, just ignore G24. No trying the IAS.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks all.
It's Wrekin Retail park in Telford - not featured here before but I hope this thread becomes useful to others in the future.
No blue badge holders present, just a child who apparently spent too much time trying on clothes!
Coupon Mad, are you saying not to submit an appeal to G24?1 -
There's no point is there?! Except maybe to look reasonable later if you defend a court claim. What I mean is: there is no appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Plan A success.
This retail park is managed by Savills and, after contacting them and providing receipts, they arranged cancellation.
A huge thanks to you all for your advice and guidance both on this thread and also helping the many others who come to this board seeking help.8 -

I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Please reply with a link to this thread, in SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCs otherwise newbies won't easily find this info.

Thanks all, I've added it to the successful complaints thread.
You are all amazing. There is so much confusion about these demands. Several people told the keeper that there was no way out of paying and that G24 could single-handedly put a mark on their credit file if they didn't pay. When I showed the keeper this forum it convinced them that wasn't the case and that it was worth fighting against. Thank you!4
