Hi,
This might be the wrong forum. I am not sure where else to post.
My mom has issue with the Roop. Part of the room has come down.
She is in receipt of PIP and Pension Credit.
Is there any support grant available to help with the Roof? She is based in Birninghan.
Thanks

Does she own the home?
Assuming it is from the storm the house insurance will cover the damage.1 -
Hmm there’s no national scheme for household repairs but the local council may offer support. I’ve looked at Birmingham and it looks like applications are currently closed and only offer up to £200 anyway https://www.birmingham.gov.uk/info/50274/cost_of_living_support/2497/household_support_fund_2024_to_2025/2
it did mention an advice service as part of their cost of living support which might have more ideas of who could help https://www.birmingham.gov.uk/livingsupport
edit- I’m assuming mum either doesn’t have insurance or it won’t pay out. That’ll be the first place to try.MFW 2021 #76 £5,145
