Thoughts on unit colour.

Hi.
A friend has had their bathrooms reno'd, and all that needs doing is to paint the hand built vanity units, made from pine board.
He has the task of choosing colours
I've suggested either satinwood or eggshell for finish, but I struggle with actual colours - tho' feel drawn to dark colours, possibly blues, to highlight the white basins.
(The open unit will have doors like the other one)
Thoughts and suggestions, please?! Ta.

Our bathroom is F & B Stuckey Blue. Whilst it looks good and makes the white pop, it has been quite hard to live with in terms of showing marks and scratches. We are thinking of changing the colour, but have had it for several years.
I posted some pictures of it in this thread, and I should also say that my wife takes the credit for these decisions.

Don't forget to paint the knots with Knotting soloution and wait for it to dry hard or they may show through the paint. 2-3 coats.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I would be inclined to pick out the darkest colour in the floor tile, not clear on my phone whether it's a dark grey or a dark blue.1

First thing I'd do is replace the toilet seats for ones that can close......
Top image, you'd have to have a perfect match with the blue tile if painting the cabinet blue otherwise it's going to look a mess. As the shelf appears to have a wood stain/varnish I'd consider that as long as it is a light stain. IMO more honey coloured stains look dated but all personal preference of course.
Bottom image, you could go with a colour to compliment the blue/grey (whatever the colour is ) in the flooring.1 -
Thanks all.
I remembering commenting on your bathroom colour in that thread, MisterNick!
I haven't seen the tile colour in the flesh, CairnP, but it does look like a blue-grey. That could work.
He's got a pro P&D, 2'penny, so should be ok on that score.
Cheers.
