Ah okay - so is this form essentially me saying I’ll help them against the other driver?

And that they’ll pay my insurance company the money they are owed - which in turn will mean I get:

    My excess back

The claim going down as not at fault for me

    Thanks!

    Exactly that.

And, btw, you're already contractually obliged to do exactly that. If you don't, the Ts & Cs you agreed to by buying the policy quite likely reserve them the right to hand the bill to you if you don't do everything required to help them recover their losses off the other party and/or their insurer.

Excellent! I’ll sign and send back tomorrow

Also - I guess I’m very unlikely to get back any extra money I’ve been paying on insurance premiums for the past 2 years?

Thanks a lot for your help :)

The OP is obliged to help their own insurance but this agreement is that settlement will be made in exchange for an agreement that they will help the TP insurance. It's just a transference of the same obligation and so certainly I would be agreeing to it as the alternative is a much heightened risk of needing to support their own insurers in legal action.
