Direct debit question for bank switching cashback

Hi folks,
Today, I’ve started the process of moving three unimportant direct debits from my main account to a Barclays burner account in preparation for trying out these bank switching offers for cashback.
Once Barclays confirms that the direct debits have been set up, do I need to wait for at least one payment to go out before initiating a switch, or can I start the switch straight away?
The last payment from my main account was taken this morning, and I transferred the direct debits to Barclays today. They should be set up by this time next week, but the next payment isn’t due until around March 1st.
Thanks in advance

Safest bet would be to wait, but if they are appearing in your online banking on the dummy account then you should be okay if you need to switch before they pay out

I did quite a bit of bank switching a couple of years ago that required 2 direct debits
None of debits where taken but were registered
Never had a problem getting the incentive paid1 -
Thanks guys,As I really don't want to leave this up to chance I think I'll play it safe, even though it's most likely fine to switch as soon as they are setup.0
