E7 meters and RFS signal

Got a meter in 2008 that gives two readings, day rate - normal usage and a night rate - low usage. You press a button and your day rate shows up, press again and your night rate shows up. Press again and date shows up, so on and so on and the total of usage of day and night usage totalled together. No in 2008 they were both set to 0(zero) so you would think the total would match, No it doesn’t. My yearly usage is about 6K not bad for a 3 bed bungelow but I think that’s rather high. So with the RFS being turned off in JUNE 2025. I was wondering if anyone had noticed there meters not working correctly. Low rate during day and high rate during night. your RFS unit is a little black box connected to your meter and the signal comes from the local radio transmitter. Now I’m not sure but with strong winds recently and in previous years has the meters been affected in anyway. I’m perplexed that as a new meter in 2008 and my date rate total and night rate total not adding up to the total on the meter. Has anyone else noticed this on there meters. I have worked out that my total on my meter is less than what I have submitted to my energy company. One way I have done this is take the last reading from my meter and taken the very first meter I gave to my energy company. I also did this with my night readings to. I added the totals together and they are bigger than my total on the meter.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I heard you can have your meter independently looked at.

Is this an RTS (radio teleswitch) meter?
What are the readings? How different are they?
Can you share a photo of your meter?

There's no standard for which is which.  See which register increments at lunchtime.

Nope.  One in the middle of England, one in the  central belt of Scotland, one in the north of Scotland.  High winds won't make any difference to the propagation, although it may knock a transmitter off the air.  Even then, that's unlikely to affect the switchover times on a basic domestic E7 system.
