Charting tool - for non clients

I am just finding my feet in learning how to evaluate my funds' performance.  I would like to use a Charting tool such as Trustnet as a non-cleint. Is there a way to add funds to a portfolio, by using either the fund name or the ISIN Number, ie without entering all of these details:
- Investement Type
- Management group
- Fund

or maybe I am not on the right page?
I am able to locate the fund by using the the fund name or the ISIN Number, but not able to add these to the Portfolio to do charting.

Thanks in advance.

Register an account and login, go to MyPortfolio, Create a portfolio and give it a name.  It looks like you may have already done that,

From where you are in the picture, select the Investment type, management group and Fund under Add A Holding.  Then click Go.  A pop-up will pop up where you fill in the number of units and date of purchase.  Trustnet will fill in the rotal cost.  You then click Save.  Repeat until your portfolio is complete.

You can then access the full charting tool where you can plot your portfolio against other investments by clicking on Click Here for Detailed Analysis below the graph.

You are likely to find Trustnet is extremely slow and may appear to hang at times.  Just be patient.

I  was using the 3 drop down to add the funds but I need to find these details first. Therefore,
I would like to know whether it is possible to use the ISIS number, instead of using the 3 drop down? As I cannot fund an option to use the ISIS NUMBER or another way to add the funds, please?

I normally use Google to find a single named fund on Trustnet.  The other option is to list all funds, possibly through a filter, sort by whatever criterion you are interested in and then click on the fund that best meets your needs.  There is no facility on Trustnet to search by ISIN, only by name via fund manager, sector, country or whatever.

If the fund is already in your portfolio you can click on its name there.
