Hi February Finance Fans,Working today, so just a wee list.Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Nine:
- Alarm clock off at the wall during day time.
- Homemade packed lunch instead of buying lunch at work.
- No spend day, apart from petrol.
- Booked a half day holiday from work for the day we're going to the theatre in May, instead of a whole day which I don't really need.

DawnW said:We are going to see DD1 on Saturday and staying overnight. OH has to go to a funeral beforehand. It is for the wife of one of his friends and former colleagues. I only met the lady once so I have asked him to offer my condolences instead of my attending in person. I lost my brother after more than a year of serious illness 6 months ago (I was his main carer as he became more and more ill) and it was all very stressful and upsetting up to the end and beyond.

@carrielovesfanta thank you for starting this week's thread. Thank you also to @ziggy2407 for letting me know this thread has resumed. It is lovely to see many friends together.
@DawnW I'm sorry to read your sad news regarding your brother, I think you have made a wise decision not to go to the funeral.Today I plan to:
NSD
Do not use the car
Breakfast, lunch and dinner from stores
Stick to the meal plan for tonight’s dinner
Meal plan - I’m hoping to do the week
Write a shopping list
Open curtains fully
Close curtains before it gets dark
Turn off lights and appliances, not in use
Try and solve the problem in my new budget spreadsheet
Now I've finished my cuppa back to lessons for us.

Hi everyone,
Missed the start of this thread at the beginning of the week and here we are already at Friday! 🫨
I've set up a coaching business helping people return to work after a cancer diagnosis. Trying to get some corporate clients at the minute so they can provide it to their affected employees but also open to individual clients. Also working with a parenting charity delivering their 1:1 parenting coaching programmes and a parenting with cancer group course.
Separate to that I've spoken to a recruiter this week about a contractor role so 🤞🏻
V v grateful to all of you lovely people and general money saving tips as I've been able to take the past 6 months off completely, which has been just what the doctor ordered.
Funds are depleting so tightening belts and starting saving from scratch again! 💰
- Fake away tonight 🍜
- Using gym membership - cheapest place to take LO swimming 🏊🏻♀️
- Planning a night away with pals - I'm booking so can control spends 😇
- Found cheap train tickets 🧐
- Paying holiday travel insurance ⛷️
Big love for a peaceful Friday night 🙌🏻7 -
Wow, congrats on your business(es) La E! Hope you get some corporate clients.Work again today, but no really annoying customers, which is a bonus
I wore 3 jumpers and 2 pairs of trousers today alongside a huge scarf and gloves, so I am sure I looked like a Michelin person, but never mind, at least I didn't get as cold as yesterday
Nothing spent again.OH is cooking (just a jacket potato and salad, but still...Stove alight, and both kettles are on top, so 'free' hot drinks this evening, and also washing up water...I must fold and put away the washing on the airer.Early night, as I am shattered.6 -
Hi everyone
day off today as I don't work Fridays. Friday is always a great day, day to unwind, potter around, some leisure time and just generally recover from the intensity of work!
Small things today:
First Friday of the month a dear friend and I get together for breakfast. We had planned a woodland walk with a flask of coffee but weather was shocking. So she came here. I made a kind of shakshuka to use up some batch made tomato soup that hasn't gone down as well as I had hoped! Also used up some Olio (free) spinach
As I didn't need to get up I didn't have an alarm and slept in until 7!
* homemade cleaning products used to do the weekly clean
* NSD - thought about buying some stuff but then didn't afterall! I've not spent any cash all week!
* Have cut up some scraps of fabric to make make-up wipes for a friend's birthday gift
* sat down and read my birthday book, after finishing the library one yesterday.
* also having fakeaway tonight - egg fried rice, salt and pepper chips and Chinese inspired curry. Lots of use it ups happening!
* got a load of things out of the freezer to eat over the next few days rather than cooking/buying more
* kept heating off during the day. Time of life means I'm generally a few degrees warmer these day!
* did a load of washing at 20 degrees
