    I miss the 'proper' emojis too!
    What a day! Shopping first thing, then work, unexpected as someone is off sick and someone else is on holiday. Then home in the middle of the day to see a cousin who came to pick something up, then back to work till 4. Phew, at least it is only work tomorrow!
    I can't think of a single MSE thing I have done today, apart from all food from home - I even ordered a book from the Guardian bookshop (I thought we would both read it).
    My new vacuum cleaner has arrived, but I haven't had chance to unpack it yet.
    I will be turning off the various chargers at the wall though!

    This will be the first day I've managed 2000 steps by bedtime - major achievement

    morning peeps - ziggy that's fantastic re your step count! Hope you're not too shattered today x

    La E lovely to see you! Exciting news you started your own venture. Care to share what it is?

    Dawn hope work is just the right level of easy/busy today!

    Ally ouch on the tooth. Hope you're ok

    Carrie that's fantastic news about your landlord. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly with the exchange - it takes bloody ages buying a house these days!

    Quick post from me. Today:

    * wfh - hope to get through a chunk of my backlog
    * expenses - still haven't done these!
    * exercise for free
    * all meals from stores - wish I'd got something out of the freezer today for lunch...
    * get something out of the freezer for lunch tomorrow....
    * read the newsletter - I need to dedicate a chunk of time to read the piece about pensions as I have a couple that I can't find.
    * NSD? probably
    * finish library book this evening - I have a book club session on Thursday at work to discuss this book so am leaving it close to the knuckle! I now have 55 pages so I don't think they'll be a problem.

    eta: I have just remembered oh and I have tickets to a comedy night today. I got the tickets so I think my nsd is safe, but the book is in danger! Will use my lunch to read and squeeze a bit of time before and after. It's going to be tight!

    Ok that's all. Hope you all have a great day x

    Yeah, I am thanks. Bit dearer than I thought and I'm still a bit numb this morning, but it's repaired now so at least it won't get worst. 🦷️

    Work again today (4 days this week due to peeps being ill /on hols. I will be shattered by the weekend (if it sounds a bit part time to you I am old, and retired from my 'proper' job :D)  At least it was OH's cooking night!
    Nothing spent today.
    Other MSE things:
    Checked banks
    Washing pegged outside on the line and nearly dried. Big stuff too, cotton bedlinen  :)   Just needs overnight on the airer :)  - my next job is to put it on there!
    Saved some plastic bags from a delivery to use for bin bags
    I will check the weather app, and if it looks to be dry, I will put another load of washing in.
    Hope everyone has had a good day :)

    Hi February Finance Fans,

    Working today, so a smaller list.

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Nine:

    • Alarm clock off at the wall during day time.
    • Homemade packed lunch instead of buying lunch at work.
    • Soothed my sore feet with a bucket of cold water.
    • No spend day.

    I was working today too - it was dire, hardly any customers and the ones that we did have were very annoying :D  And it was freezing in the shop. I will need another jumper and an extra pair of trousers tomorrow I think!
    Not much moneysaving going on. Took my lunch with me and made dinner when I got back (OH helped) but I always do those things :D
    Last work day of the week tomorrow :)
    We are going to see DD1 on Saturday and staying overnight. OH has to go to a funeral beforehand. It is for the wife of one of his friends and former colleagues. I only met the lady once so I have asked him to offer my condolences instead of my attending in person. I lost my brother after more than a year of serious illness 6 months ago (I was his main carer as he became more and more ill) and it was all very stressful and upsetting up to the end and beyond. It is unsurprisingly still quite raw and my MH wouldn't be helped by attending. If it were someone close of course it would be different.

    Dawn I'm really sorry to hear you lost your brother. I remember you speaking about him, and know you supported him considerably through the year. Really sad news. Absolutely you should take time to recover from that x
