Hi There

I was sent a parking charge notice by ParkingEye. Reason for the contravention is that i parked in "Britannia Bloom Street Car Park in Manchester city center M1 3LA" on 20th June 2020 without a valid parking ticket. I vividly remember that i didn't have cash with me that day and parking meter only accepted cash. I parked there for 30-40 minutes i think before driving off. I moved my address soon after so didn't receive their initial letters before they passed my case to DCBL who got hold of my new address due to a previous ticket. I have now updated all my addresses with DSA and DVLA. What shall i do next ? Worth paying this at this £170 stage to avoid any further hassle or do i have a decent chance to fight this off without paying anything ?

Post 4 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements, top of the forum,  3rd thread down , meanwhile  ignore the debt collectors

Never  " chance it" too many cameras about,  leave promptly if you cannot comply

Come back to this thread if or when you receive a Letter of Claim followed by a court claim

We never recommend paying debt collectors,  never   !

That letter already features in the pictures of £170 threatograms to ignore, in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread.

Obviously you don't pay or ring them!

    You'll never pay a penny.

Sit tight. Do nothing except the below.

By going confidently into the 'ignore' stance, the only steps to take (because you MUST check every letter) are:

    - Tell them if you move house within 6 years.

    - Ignore the tedious £170 threatograms shown in pictures in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread.

    - Come back if you get a solicitor's LBC as per the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread.

Nobody pays a penny and no hearing is even needed in most cases. Search the forum and read a few cases as they are easy to beat by waiting for a claim form - it is easier than appealing!

There is no risk AT ALL in defending a court claim. No CCJ. No bailiffs. And you'll pay nothing in the end because DCB Legal always discontinue before hearings.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm a lady.  But mate is OK as long as you've taken the advice on board and do what is needed when it's needed.

Astonished people take that letter seriously!  Not sure how posters miss the £170 threatogram pictures in the 4th post of the NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST thread which everyone is meant to read before posting.
