Just a quick one need to get a new bulb for car as light coverage isn’t great at night so was looking at some Phillip white ultra had them in the past always seemed a good improvement.

upon checking on the reg for H7 bulbs was a few options but there is one thing I just wanted to clear up are these headlights projector headlights or just the standard reflector ones I was of the assumption they are reflector

Look like projectors to me. I used upgraded bulbs because mine weren't very good and it didn't make much difference.

But by all means give it a go. If you use the highly upgraded ones like the +220% version you will get a shorter bulb life

That’s what I thought but it’s still the standard H7 halogen bulb I always assumed projector headlights were for led/xenon so what’s the point in the projector for the standard halogen bulb.

yeah that’s the only trade off I did have them in my Astra a few years back and felt like it was a lot better on country roads

    Those are projectors, definitely.

Projectors predate HID - they go back to the 90s, definitely with halogen incandescent light sources.

The difference is in the shape of the reflector and the lens. You can see those have the very obvious convex outer lens surface.

My old Saab has projector lights, with bog standard H7 halogen bulbs, and they've never been great.

Last time a bulb went, I replaced them all with Osram Nightbreaker 200% bulbs.

They're definitely an improvement, but still not as good as the the lights on my daughter's Pug 107 - probably due, at least in part, to the 20 years of accumulated crud...
