one click to change screen resolution?

Is it possible to change screen resolution in windows 10 with just one click other than going through

right click
display settings
display resolution 
apply

then doing it all again to get back to what it is?

You can do this using nircmd.exe from NirSoft (NirSoft - freeware utilities: password recovery, system utilities, desktop utilities)

Create a shortcut in windows with the following : 

"C:\path\to\nircmd.exe" setdisplay 800 600 32

This will then change the resolution to 800x600 by just double clicking the shortcut icon.     You just change the 800 600 to whatever resolution you want.

Nirsoft has been around for years and has great utilities.

A question out of curiosity more than anything, but why do you need to change the screen resolution frequently, if ever after initially setting it?

Because my wife plays a card game designed for windows 98 on an 800 by 600 screen and it looks so small on a 1920 by 1080 screen.

Right click on the program/icon and select properties, then the Compatibility tab, second from the bottom is "Change high DPI settings", it will show a few different options in there, but you should be able to fix it rather than needing to change system resolution.
