Ebay - Royal Mail collection no longer an option?

I've just listed 2 items on Ebay and in the postage options there was no option for Royal Mail collection. I've used this in the past and found it very useful as I can't get out much.

Has this option been removed now? Or is it not appearing for certain items? I'm selling a couple of shirts.

The only time you see only specific postage options is if you are on the trial of simple postage, is that the case? 

Otherwise the seller chooses postage options and then chooses the correct option for their needs from their own policies, eBay don’t set the options at all. For instance my postage policies include standard letter, large letter 2nd class, standard parcel RM48 and a couple of couriers which I don’t use a lot anymore. If I list something LL size then I choose the LL policy, and for standard parcels the parcel option and so forth. I don’ t differentiate at all between RM48 drop off or collection, I just have RM48 and with all my items whether I drop off or have items collected depends on what I’m doing that day. When I buy postage on eBay I can still change what option I choose, so for instance I might decide to upgrade from standard parcel to RM48 if an auction goes a lot higher than I thought.

This sounds different to my experience, I've always selected the postage option from a long list of options. Now I see the simpler thing, but when I selected 'custom' to see all avaialable options, RM collection was no longer among them.

I'm hoping it becomes an option if I make a sale. If not, can I go to the Royal Mail site and book my own collection? If so then it's bypassing Ebay tracking which checks if an item is delivered.

I'm befuddled.

Just choose RM and when you buy your eBay label just choose the RM option you want. One tip though, if your view on eBay postage is like mine then  you need to look under ‘more options’ when printing labels to get the full range of RM options. Incidentally, you can always add collection to any RM label, I’ve just done mine for tomorrow and I’ve got a collection for RM48, standard parcels, large letters and even a standard letter. Once you buy the label stay on the page and on the RH edge below the address part you can click ‘arrange collection’, click that and it takes you to the RM site where you can add collection for free.

Thank you. I last sold something a few months ago, so being confronted with a new interface that appeared from memory to lack options, threw me.

Ebay are a nightmare for changing views- and then suddenly changing them back. I can barely keep up sometimes- and even more frustratingly I have 2 private accounts and a business account and at no point do I have the same interface with all 3. Every time I switch accounts i'm faced with a slightly different way of doing things.

The one permanent thing for me though is that i can always choose from a full range of postage when I send something, and the option to arrange a collection, even for letters and large letters is always there.
