Teams Invites & Calendars

Hi, I was sent notice of a Teams meeting via the Outlook Calendar on my iPhone, but the entry doesn't appear in the Teams Calendar on my laptop. With previous meetings I have received a Meeting ID within an email and have just clicked on the link to join meeting when the time comes. If I go into the iPhone calendar and click on the entry for the meeting, I am invited to Accept, Decline etc but when I press Accept, a notification pings up and tells me the action can't be completed. I'm in a bit of a loop here and don't quite know how to get out. The only thing I thought was whether the fact that my (original) Apple ID/Account is a different email address to the alias one to which the invite has been sent. Could this be at the root of things? I'm not very au fait with either Calendars or Teams so any knowledge of this issue would be appreciated. Cheers

In the middle of a project and they can only use Teams, they had the same issues in the past with Teams on mobile devices
not just IOS but Android as well.

What email address is Teams registered against? Forward the email to that one.

It's the same email address, but there's no info in the email or an ID, just a note to say they have sent the invite via Calendar...
