Morning GERS and all to follow. Another dull and dismal day forecast for here. Nowt new there then!
I was up early doors so I am now skulking in the bathroom with a colour on my hair. The hairdresser is due tomorrow morning so I thought it was time I addressed my roots and got rid of the skunk look. The box has been in the bathroom all week!
Supermarket Sweep with DS this morning. Once again nothing on the list for the freezer and yet after a month the contents still don't seem to be going down.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Hope the littlies are recovering well. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning allFrosty out there this morning. Glad to hear Esben's op went well.Shopping delivery later. Washing to put upstairs on the airer. When I went to the butchers in the week they had chicken breasts filled with sausage meat and wrapped in bacon and tied with string looking like a flower! Looking forward to them for dinner today.Have a good day all x13

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
I think it's dull and dismal here as well TA, gets you down doesn't it. Happy hair colouring!
Chrisca, those chicken breasts sound nice, we have a butcher here who does fancy stuff like that. His window is always worth a look. He does gigantic pork chops as well, I think one would feed the two of us.
Glad Esben's op went ok Snoozer.
Nothing much going on today, but we might go out for a walk.
Thinking of the sad and poorly people, take care folks.14 -
Morning everyone
I didn’t get to post yesterday - had a day out doing a brush lettering course with a friend - great fun but my brain was tired last night.Today will be a dog walk, chores and packing for a holiday in Wales next week.
take care all

Morning
Another dull start to the day, seems the norm but at least it's not raining.
No plans for today, will see what DH wants to do after his afternoon of watching rugby yesterday. Will make a roast dinner later, either lamb or beef, both are cooked and sliced in the freezer from Christmas. TA my freezer doesn't seem to be emptying either although I did put 2 bags of parsnips in earlier in the week.
Hope the little ones continue to improve.
Hugs to all who need them, have a good day all, take care.13 -
Bright sunshine here ,but also a v thick frost.
I woke in the night feeling cold but was still surprised to see such a thick one .Going to change the bed today so it’s nice and clean before I go away tomorrow .
Does anyone else do that ?
Will finish packing and tidy and hoover too .
glad the GC s seem better

Hi
Hope you are all ok
Weather looks bright but I have my living room window open can feel a chill in the air, but I like that to clear the air in the flat.
Up already, and even tidied round a bit. Including tidying out the freezer putting things into bags in categories-well I mean as best I can. It's only a one person freezer and I am obviously glad had lots of nice food in there but was becoming hard to locate certain things. Ill run hoover around later just thought bit early for noise if people in flat above and below are still in bed
Updated family tree yesterday, some interesting discoveries. Also played lego on Switch. I ended up having a picky tea-with pizza and some chilli cheese bites. Ill do chicken and rice to night. Stuck a few bits in the bag for charity shop.
Pretty much a general day pottering around will watch call the midwife tonight.
Have a lovely day

Morning all from a very murky and quite cold Mehefinland
Think I'm becoming the local dog sitter/feeder. Two days running I have done next door's dog as she had to work 12 hour shifts at the care home. I don't mind as he is a lovely thing even if to those who don't know him he looks a real bruiser. Not sure what he is , mastiff cross at a wild guest. Then today I am doing my friends up the road whilst they attend a birthday party for their g/son. This one is ok too as its a Corgi and a Cav and I see them daily when I call in after doing the horses at teatime (I get my ear chewed if I don't!!- so it's nice to give something back so to speak).
Another friend is a home dogsitter and often has 4 or 5 besides her own, so I help out walking on occasions depending on what they are (and if she asks). Sometimes though it's what I need too - a reason to break the cycle of house-horse-house-horse. Sometimes feel like a hamster on a wheel.
Taking bags of stuff into the charity shop later -unusually they are open7 days a week, but parking is a nightmare in town so I'm hoping that being Sunday it will be better. Might drop into Waitr0se whilst there to see if there's any rtc I fancy. Need a few bits anyway so might as well. Try to do as many things as I can when I make a trip out.
Got a green waste collection booked for tomorrow so need to get the bags out on the curb for 7am - that will be this afternoon's job!
Right time to get on - get well poodles. Hugs and spoons as always to those in need

Morning everyone
Snoozer I hope Esben recovers quickly
Little one is slowly improving, she managed without a nap yesterday but was in bed for the night at quarter to 5
I got all my jobs done yesterday so I'm ready for my new bedroom furniture tomorrow.
This afternoon I'm stewarding at my local theatre/cinema...it's a broadcast of Les Mis 40th anniversary show....I've seen it on TV but looking forward to seeing it on the big screen.
Right best get on as I'm going down to sit with dad while mam goes to church. Hope everyone has a good day x

Made it back! I got caught up in putting away the dry laundry, sorting out meds and a bit of tidying.Yesterday I did a bit of shopping, it was good to see full shelves this week after the empty ones last week. I also bought yet another set of shoe laces, surely I'm making a meal of this should-be-simple task! Emptying the DW was a quick chore. My indulgence was catching up with numerous episodes of The Traitor USA - a more obnoxious group of people I have yet to come across. I only watch the breakfast and the banishment (not the discussions beforehand as it's always toxic). Strangely, it give me a short-lived but enjoyable feeling when it all goes wrong.
On a more sensible level I watched two episodes of Dalgliesh which had been lingering for far too long on my recorder. Slow but satisfying. On the car drive I listened to the first of a new-to-me series of detective books by M.C. Craven - an interesting lead character.
It's very murky / manky here too with rain due. There's very low level grey cloud hanging over everything. I have soup for later, a sandwich will no doubt come along too. I can't imagine much activity taking place here, no walking, no washing either.@Snoozer - lovely news about Esben. All that gunk sounds awful, little wonder he's been so poorly for so long. More good news about @DP1's little one too, baby steps to full health - enjoy the film. @Mehefin - can you join the paid work of dogsitting?I hope that everyone can keep warm and dry. Hugs to our poorlies.11
