My 7 day access is up so I decided to see if I could add my mobile phone number. But when I went through to the next screen it saids you need to give details like your NI number and passport details. But I don’t have a passport. And it saids if you proceed you will not be able to use your existing means of access anymore! So don’t want to lose that! Any ideas? Also on the current access page where it can phone you with the number it also mentions you can access via your app. But I tried that before and couldn’t see how that would work. Clearly accessing through the app would be great but only if you see what you are meant to do! Any ideas?
@fly-catchers if you can log in to the HMRC app, tap YOUR DETAILS (bottom right on Android) scroll down and MANAGE ACCESS CODES is the last but one line.
Tap that and a six digit code is displayed with a timer bar, the code refreshes every 30 seconds or so.
