Has anyone any advice on best option for getting US dollars/paying US bills? Son is going to spend a year at a US university next September onward and we will be visiting him a couple of times. With exchange rates for dollar good at moment, I wondered about buying dollars now. Can I get an interest bearing US Dollar account - and would I get bettter exchange rate for large amounts (say $15000) than tourist rate? Can i then use this account to get money to pay for US uni fees/transfer money to an account he will open in US/ get access to US cash for our trips there?
