Commemorative coins

I have about 25 commemorative coins as collected by my late father. The type of thing you see advertised on TV or in Daily Mail. Are they worth anything? Any advice on how to sell them or even if that is possible? I know it will depend what they are but assuming there are no very rare/ valuable coins.

Obviously without knowing exactly what they are can’t say about every one but most likely not worth a great deal. Depends on your idea of something’ of course , no doubt somebody would buy them.
Search on EBay and go to the filter and look for sold items to see if they’re selling and for how much.

Then there are variations as to what they're struck in. Silver, gold and proof coins have more value. The 1965 Churchill crown had over 19 million pressed. Britannia sell them for under £2 including postage. https://britanniacoincompany.com/buy-coins/milled-coins/1965-churchill-crown/
If you search their website you'll get a better idea of values. Ebay is ok for completed listings but some sellers go a bit crazy in asking prices.

The bottom one looks like it may be this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/205119208220 sold for £12.99. There are mor expensive versions though so you may want to look for paperwork to make sure.
The one above could be a few things but most 2008 Guernsey crowns are selling for £8-£10. Again you need to know exactly what it is.

Thank you. I haven't got much paperwork but it looks like a few £ each. I looks like ebay might be best bet then. I think proper coin dealers would think them laughable?!1

Personally I wold take them to an auction house, even one that may have specialist coin or collectors sales. get them to look at them in the first place. They will at least check if there is any precious metal content - eg Silver. Silver is at good price at the moment, although probably still undervalued. Bradford exchange are more likely to only coat coins etc. We had one in at our local auction yesterday, 3.5oz yellow metal coloured coin, it turned out it was only gold covered, the rest was Cupro Nickel.1
