ParkMaven notice to driver help!

Thanks in advance for further advice.
I have searched the NEWBIES but could not see the similar situation. It is possible that I may not have been able to find the same scenario.
I have a lease car through my work and parking notice with images was issued on 24th Jan 2025 by parkmaven and date of event was 22/12/2024. The event happened in a different city from where I live, in a retail park on Sunday. I actually stopped in the retail park parking for 29 minutes for charging my car and did not go to any shops. I assumed that a retail park parking will be free of charge specially being a Sunday it never crossed my mind to check for parking charges. The parking charges apparently are 80p for up to an hour and I have been asked to pay £100 (reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days).
I have not seen a retail park in my city which charges for parking any day in the week even for up to 2-3 hrs. So this parking notice was really shocking. Parkmaven has contacted the registered keeper already and then sent the notice to me.
My question, is Plan A an option in this situation and do I simply use an appeal template to submit appeal on parkmaven website? Also which appeal template should I use?
Thanks

Presumably you have received a Notice to Hirer from Parkmaven with your name and address on it ? As a hirer or lessee
Presumably they didn't include copies of the hire or lease agreement with the NtH ?
Study the last part of post 1 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum, use a suitable appeal as hirer, based on Edna Basher advice
No blabbing about who was driving or about the incident itself to ANYONE
The driver did those things, the parking company have issued the invoices
You are dealing with this as the hirer or as lessee only
In future, ALWAYS study the signs and comply or leave quickly2
