Ah sorry I meant the original company will come round to board it up after they have removed the windows.

Dear Snax192744, I saw your post about your window replacement. I'm unfortunately in an almost identical situation now. I had windows replaced throughout my house, and since then, the draft and cold have been unbearable. The installer is refusing to acknowledge the issue or do anything about it. Any updates on your end? I'd appreciate any advice you might have.

    Hi @IrinaSa, welcome to MSE.

@IrinaSa I have the very same case as the OP and currently going through CRA process.
  • Been having similar problems with smarts alitherm heritage windows. Air coming through individual frames. I have been reading the manufacturing notes and it clearly states windows should be made airtight during manufacturing process. States sealant to be added.

Our fitter has given up and is refusing to return to fix the issues!

Time to buy a tube of silicone sealant and gun and fix the drafts yourself.
