Removing furniture for flooring fitters?

I’m having vinyl fitted in 2 rooms and one is a bedroom. The bed itself is very lightweight (I can lift it easily and I weigh 8st) but with endless ‘parts’ and would be a nightmare to dismantle and put back together. The fitters said they will just do one side of the room, move the bed and then do the other side of the room. However, I have now heard other people saying that this will give a poor finish and the flooring won’t fit as well as if the room was totally clear.
Will it make a big difference? Is it worth paying for a handyman to dismantle the bed and then come back later to rebuild it?

No, it won't make a noticeable difference. Yes, in an ideal world you'd clear the room. But any fitter worth his salt will be well used to exactly this scenario, and will make a perfectly good job of it.It would be different if the room was jam-packed full of furniture, but any decent fitter should be able to deal with shifting the odd piece of furniture and working around it.3

Be aware that some carpet fitters will charge extra if furniture has to moved in any way.

Some seem happier than others with moving furniture.1
