Surely it's irrelevant the amount, the amount in total is only $2500.  We made the complaint well within the 120 days.  The company is ours and we use the cards when some work is tied into trips but I didn't know nothing is protected.
The fact this is a Ltd Co card and the trip was a holiday (personal) then the card company are absolutely correct that S75 is not available as the supplier - creditor - debtor relationship is broken.  It is possible that link was broken in any case by the use of VRBO booking agent.

Ok, lesson learnt not to use Company Card that way.  I didn't know company trips are not protected either.

The card company is correct to point out that a corporate purchase isn't covered by the Consumer Credit Act but the maximum item value they quote is indeed irrelevant to your claim anyway - it's simply the fact that the upper limit for s75 is actually £30K, not the £25K they quoted, that attracted some comment, but it makes no difference to you.

Oh and chargeback was mentioned initially when I went to them, nothing that we couldn't as it was a company card.
Yes, my understanding is that there's nothing preventing chargeback on a company card, even though using one is enough to rule out a s75 claim.

This is one of the worst type of chargebacks, as you are looking at something that is subjective. Which is not the easiest thing to prove.
Would have involved photo's of the state compared to what was expected.

I did provide photos of the state compared to what was expected but as it was company card we lost.  Again shows how Vrbo and AirBnB have it sewn in and a expensive lesson for us.

Not sure it shows that, but as above, a s75 claim against a corporate card won't succeed, but that's not a reason to deny chargeback - have you definitely tried both?

I am giving it one last shot, just trying to find the right words.  They have been given all the photos and even videos of property but say using Vrbo to book is not their problem (not their exact phrasing!).

If you paid vrbo, rather than the actual property owner. Then vrbo, can simply reject on the grounds they have passed the funds on & have nothing to do with the rental.
Could also now be out of time for a chargeback which is 120 days from date of stay.
